The rental holiday house (175m²) with electric heated pool (10 x 5 meters garanteed 26°C), sauna and private tennis court , recently restored, was built with the original stones from the château of La Filolie, which stood here centuries ago. The property consist of 7 hectares of land with an original pigeonnier and on the backside you’ll find the forest of La Bessède, with marked walks, 5 to 20 km. The entrance to the gite is via a covered terrace on the other side of the house, which has fine views over the Dordogne valley and its own two hectares of land. The house is central heated.

La Filolie lies exactly between the villages of Le Buisson and Cadouin, just over 2 kms from the Dordogne river. The lovely village of Limeuil, where the rivers Dordogne and Vézère meet, is 5 kms away and we are within reach of several medieval villages; Belvès, Monpazier and the hilltop bastide of Beaumont. Les Eyzies is about 20km 

Le Buisson has a market every Friday morning and essential shops like a supermarket, a pharmacy and a bank, a post office, a cinema, several bakeries and butchers, bars and restaurants. It has a station, so that you can travel to Sarlat, Bergerac and Bordeaux easily and a canoe hire base and good fishing there.

Markets in other villages are on different days of the week and there is a good choice of restaurants within a reasonable distance, where you can linger over a long lunch or a cool drink. Le Bugue (10kms) and Siorac (7 kms) have big supermarkets.

Alles-sur-Dordogne (4 kms) has riding stables and there is a golf course of 18 holes in Lolivarie (8 kms).

Accomodation

The ground floor has a large fully equipped kitchen (25m²) that opens onto the terrace (25m²), which includes a dishwasher and washing machine, an oven, a microwave, a cooking-plate and hob and a fridge/freezer. The living room (40m²) has a big open fire place and there is television, DVD and a CD/radio stereo system. There is a bedroom (15m²) with a double bed (160*200), a private wc and washbasin, and a bathroom with a massage shower and toilet.Available hotspot for wireless internet connection. Network GSM..

Stairs from the living room lead upstairs to three other bedrooms, one (24m²) with double bed (160*200) and the other (30m²) with three single beds and one double bed (140*200) and the third (9m²) with double bed (160*200). There is also a second bathroom with bath and a separate wc. The whole house is central heated. All beds are equipped with synthetic duvets and cotton covers. Kitchen towels are included as well.

A private swimming pool with Roman steps, (10 x 5 meters with a depth of between 70cm to 2.00 meters), lies between the house and the tennis court. Next to the pool you will find a sauna. From the terrace you can see the pool. At night you can lighten the pool. There is enough garden furniture. The swimmingpool can be closed completely with an electric security cover. All around the pool there is a fence.
